What We Do

We work with some of our favorite roasters from around the US who care about their employees and coffee farmers, as well as quality. We are working to bring you a different coffee experience, with intention, friendly service, and always something new. We have a changing menu, with different coffees and drinks on a regular basis. If you don't see what you are looking for, or don't know what to try, we are here to help you find things you will love. Coffee is a seasonal produce, with new origins available on a near-constant basis. We are here to help you enjoy the changing and varied tastes available in the coffee world, whether it be a single origin filter coffee, or a nicely sweetened espresso and milk drink.

Who We are

Journeyman Coffee has been engaged in coffee catering, coffee tastings and pop-up cafes since 2013. Our founder, Jason Card, has been involved in building the Tallahassee coffee community since he arrived in Tallahassee in 2011. As of August 2020, we are joining with our friends at Ology Brewing Co. to form a new enterprise called Ology Coffee Co.! We hope you will continue to join us in this endeavor, as we continue to bring you the best coffee and experience that we know how.

Why?

We are coffee focused. Perhaps the word is obsessed. We are passionate about sharing coffee with people. It tastes amazing and energizes, and it has been a fuel for debate, philosophy and revolution since ancient times. Coffee is so complex, there is always more to know: science, geography, history, efficiency, service. Coffee is an outlet for wonder, curiosity, compassion and hospitality. Coffee brings people together, locally and worldwide. It connects you to other people in your town, and people in distant parts of the world, never allowing you to get too provincial.

Our goal is to create the coffee experience we have always wanted to see in Tallahassee: relaxed, but vibrant, featuring the coffees we love to drink, with attention to small details. That and our stubborn independent streak is what sets us apart. We are driven to do our own thing in our own way, and we hope you like it.

Past Projects

We have our roots as a mobile coffee provider, from pop-up cafes to catered weddings and events. From November 2016 to September 2017, we ran a coffee shop with a relaxing beautiful space and a great energy, sharing a space with the Miccosukee Root Cellar restaurant. In February 2018, we coordinated the coffee service at a cafe called the Hideaway (1133 Thomasville Rd, behind Waterworks), consulting to help bring a high-quality coffee service to a Mid-Century Modern Cafe. On October 18th, we will be wrapping up our part in this project, and letting the Hideaway stand on its own to keep serving great coffee and food  in the heart of Midtown Tallahassee.
